I am pleased to welcome you to our website and to introduce to you Campion Jesuit College (CJC), Buduatta, Ghana. It joins a network of over two thousand Jesuit schools and colleges all over the world, inspired by the Ignatian educational vision, to provide a unique kind of education to the students who will be attending the school. Campion Jesuit College came out of the call and the need for a school that not only embodies Catholic-Jesuit values but also authentically transmits those values to its staff, faculty, and students.

It is uniquely capable of answering this call because the faculty and staff are well-primed and genuinely dedicated to transmitting to their students Catholic-Jesuit values exceptionally well and teaching the most demanding and rewarding subjects (S.T.E.A.M.) outstandingly well. Modeling the Jesuit philosophy of education, inspired by the Spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius of Loyola, CJC will help its students strive to become self-aware, so that they can fully understand themselves and use their imagination, emotions, and talents creatively to achieve excellence in every endeavor they engage in. It will also help them achieve their purpose in life, serve others, learn to discern their paths with wisdom, and choose what is good for themselves and their societies. Thus, it seeks to both inform the person and form the character of its students.

With an enriched and well-tested curricular and co-curricular programmes, including 21st century skills, Kairos retreat, cura personalis, service projects, leadership training, etc., its ultimate goal is to educate a new generation of global leaders—men and women for and with others, who can make a difference in their communities and shape the future with vision, equity, and charity—with a sense of responsibility and love for all of humanity.

Once again, I warmly welcome you to our website, and I invite all prospective students, parents, or friends to join our community.

Fr. Emmanuel I. Ugwejeh SJ
